Sporting an imposing tattoo of the grim reaper on his back, Aleksander Emelianenko is a grim reaper to his opponents! He is a knockout artist and one of the rising young heavyweights in mixed martial arts. The younger brother of Fedor Emelianenko, Aleksander also possesses many of the same skills, including a background in sambo and judo. In addition, he practices a special type of sambo that was popular among the military and police in the former Soviet Union called "commando sambo" (which includes striking). Thus far in his career, Aleksander has racked up wins in PRIDE over the likes of Matt Foki and Assuerio Silva. Though he is ferocious in the ring and possesses knockout power, Aleksander is known for his incredibly mellow and calm demeanor, even right before his fights are about to begin.
