He won the UFC Heavyweight Title on June 19, 2004 while attempting an armbar submission on Tim Sylvia. The fight was stopped by the referee when Frank snapped Tim Sylvia's arm during his attempt to submit Sylvia by an armbar. Also, Frank received quite a bit of recognition when he submitted Roberto Traven after beating him using Jiu Jitsu techniques rather than a ground and pound technique.
